SPPC Donates $10,000 to Guam Memorial Hospital Volunteers Association Following Successful 61st Anniversary Charity Ball
TAMUNING, Guam — May 6, 2026 — South Pacific Petroleum Corporation (SPPC), the local distributor of 76/Circle K, and LPGas, proudly donated $10,000 to the Guam Memorial Hospital Volunteers Association (GMHVA) in support of its successful 61st Anniversary Charity Ball, helping advance the organization’s mission of improving healthcare services and patient care at Guam Memorial Hospital.
The Charity Ball, held on April 11, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Guam, brought together community leaders, corporate partners, supporters, and volunteers for an evening dedicated to raising funds for much-needed medical equipment for the island’s public hospital.
As one of the event’s major sponsors, SPPC’s generous contribution played an important role in the success of the fundraiser. The donation helped support event operations and fundraising efforts, allowing more proceeds from the evening to directly benefit GMHVA’s medical equipment initiative. Funds raised from the event will go toward the purchase of the LigaSure FT 10, an advanced electrosurgical generator designed to improve precision and efficiency across multiple surgical procedures at Guam Memorial Hospital.
The equipment is expected to enhance surgical capabilities by improving tissue cutting and vessel sealing, reducing operative time, and supporting better patient outcomes for the island community.
SPPC’s sponsorship reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting programs and organizations that positively impact the lives of Guam residents. Through community partnerships and charitable giving initiatives, SPPC continues to invest in causes that strengthen healthcare, wellness, and quality of life across the island.
During the check presentation held at the SPPC corporate office, representatives from GMHVA expressed their appreciation for SPPC’s support and partnership in helping make the event a meaningful success.
This year’s Charity Ball also honored the legacy and contributions of the late Mariquita Souder, GMHVA’s first Gift Shop Manager and Past President, alongside Geraldine Gutierrez, Honorary Past President and Lifetime Member, recognizing their years of dedication and service to GMHVA and the Guam community.
SPPC is honored to have supported GMHVA’s 61st Anniversary Charity Ball and remains committed to giving back to the community through initiatives that create lasting and meaningful impact.
