South Pacific Petroleum Corporation (SPPC) continues its commitment to promoting community well-being and athletic excellence with a recent donation of $1,000 in sponsorship funds to the Guam Kayak and Canoe Federation. This generous contribution will support the upcoming 23rd Annual Micronesian Cup, a premier competition that celebrates the spirit of competitive paddling and camaraderie in the region.

The 23rd Annual Micronesian Cup is set to take place from October 19th to October 22nd at two picturesque locations: Matapang Beach in Tumon and the Paseo Boat Basin in Hagatna. This event promises to be a thrilling display of athleticism and teamwork, featuring teams from across the Micronesian region, including Palau, Saipan, and Guam. A total of 45 to 50 teams are scheduled to compete, making it a significant and highly anticipated sporting event in the area.

During the official check presentation, Mark J. Sablan, SPPC’s Vice President of Business Development, handed over the sponsorship funds to Melanie Escobar, the Micro Cup Coordinator and a dedicated GKCY Board member. This contribution underscores SPPC’s dedication to fostering sportsmanship and providing vital support to community organizations and events.

The sponsorship of the 23rd Annual Micronesian Cup is yet another demonstration of SPPC’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life and fostering a spirit of camaraderie among the people of Guam and the wider Micronesian region. The company is proud to be a part of this remarkable event that promotes the values of teamwork, competition, and healthy living.
