SPPC dba 76/Circle K Extends Compassionate Support to Typhoon-Stricken Communities Through Ayuda Foundation
TAMUNING, Guam — May 12, 2026 — In the aftermath of Super Typhoon Sinlaku, South Pacific Petroleum Corporation (SPPC), dba 76/Circle K, stepped forward to support families and communities across Chuuk and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) as they faced the difficult road to recovery.
Recognizing the urgent need for clean water, medical assistance, and humanitarian aid, SPPC donated six pallets of bottled water, equivalent to 504 cases, along with a $10,000 cash contribution to The Ayuda Foundation, a Guam-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Pacific islanders, especially throughout the Micronesian region. Through its ongoing outreach and relief efforts, The Ayuda Foundation worked closely with community partners to deliver critical assistance to typhoon-affected families.
What began as a donation quickly became part of a much larger lifeline for those in need. According to The Ayuda Foundation, SPPC’s monetary contribution helped leverage approximately $1.2 million worth of essential medical supplies, including medications, first-aid kits, and emergency medical equipment that were distributed to clinics, shelters, and relief centers serving affected communities in Chuuk and the CNMI.
The bottled water donation also provided immediate comfort and relief to families struggling with limited access to clean drinking water after the storm. For many residents, these supplies represented more than just emergency aid — they were reminders that neighboring island communities had not forgotten them during one of their most difficult moments.
“We are deeply grateful to SPPC for answering the call to help so quickly,” said 38th Guam Legislature Senator and Speaker Frank F. Blas, Jr., who serves as a board member of The Ayuda Foundation. “Their generosity allowed us to reach more families, provide life-saving assistance, and bring hope to communities working to recover from the devastation left behind by the typhoon. Support like this truly makes a difference in people’s lives.”
Mark J. Sablan, Vice President Business Development for SPPC, shared that supporting island neighbors during times of hardship reflects the company’s commitment to community and compassion.
“At SPPC, we believe that island communities are strongest when we stand together,” said Sablan. “When we saw the impact Super Typhoon Sinlaku had on families in Chuuk and the CNMI, we knew we had to help in any way we could. We are thankful for organizations like The Ayuda Foundation that work tirelessly on the ground to bring aid, hope, and healing to those who need it most.”
In addition to the disaster relief efforts, SPPC also continued its commitment to serving the community through an ongoing initiative supporting stray animal welfare across the island. Coin collection boxes were placed at every 76® / Circle K service station, with proceeds directed toward local nonprofit animal organizations. Through the initiative, customers were encouraged to donate their spare change to help support shelter operations, animal care, and rescue efforts throughout the islands.
By continuing to support humanitarian causes and community-driven initiatives, SPPC remains committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of the people and communities it serves.
